Dr. Miracle's New Products!
Launch Party for New Skin Care & Follicle Healer

Wednesday night I attended Dr. Miracle’s launch party for a few new products they’ve added to their successful brand. The launch’s focus was geared toward the new Follicle Healer Collection and products expanding their skin care division, My Miracle Face Care.
The fab event was hosted at the trendy Midtown Manhattan Dream Hotel. As guests poured in from the sweltering summer heat, a variety of drinks and cocktails were served. Being the wine drinker that I am, I immediately grabbed a chilled glass of red and took a seat to cool down. Man was it hot!
Next stop: the awesome catered spread. Everything on the menu was great, very seasonal and tasty.
I especially loved the Asian infused salad that was composed of mixed greens and many other flavors I enjoy in a salad. It was perfect for a hot day: light and filling.

“Just so you ladies know, there are manicures going on in the other room, with polishes by GingerandLiz” say Joelle Marketing Director for Dr. Miracle’s, who looked absolutely fab in a Nanette Lepore printed dress paired with gold caged booties.

I looked down at my nails and recalled saying to myself earlier that day that I was in need a manicure.

Bingo! Jackpot!

As I made my way to join the line for the popular GingerandLiz polished manicure, I was greeted by Dr. Miracle’s themed cupcakes.
Yummy!

And much to my amazement, what did I find out? The supplier of the cupcakes was Shakara Bridgers from Get ’Em Girls, the same supplier of the delicious Platinum themed red velvet cupcakes I was scarfing down a couple weeks ago.

Remember that? Revisit here.

If I had to wait in a line, enjoying a moist chocolate cupcake would be the way to go.
As everyone crowded into the little room eager to get their mini mani, I was able to meet the creators and fab chicks of GingerandLiz, so sweet they are.
I also got to chat with a few other fab chicks as well. Among the many were Hayat Mohamed, of Black voices, Danielle Kwateng, Assistant Editor of MadameNoire.com, and Paula Renfroe, Editor-in-Chief of the new celebrity and lifestyle magazine for Black women, Juicy.
As I sat down with TJ, my manicurist for the night who also blogs over at Nonsocitey.com, I was extremely happy to finally try the much talked about GingerandLiz polishes. The indecisive person that I am, surprising grabbed the jade color without hesitation.

Oh course I would be drawn to the not yet released color, Ivy League. I love it!

TJ's Nail Tip: Apply top coat a few times after initial polish to maintain color and reduce early chipping.

But before calling it a night, I got to chat extensively with Kathleen Johnson, Brand Educator for Dr. Miracle’s. She was nothing short of inspiring and funny.

While giving my friend and I the scoop on the newly launched products, she gave us some beauty and life tips as well.

She shared with us to:

Always live in the moment
Take care of your skin from the inside first and then tackle the outside
Always sleep on a satin pillow

She had us laughing and leaving the awesome event smiling.

About the products:

The goal of the new Follicle Healer is to address the issues brought up by their customers, specifically women of color. Among the concerns were a milder more pleasant scent and more hydrating and nourishing elements.

I can attest to the smell factor as I can remember my dad complaining once about it to my mom when she would use some of the products from the line.
In paying attention to the specific hair needs of their customers, the new Follicle Healer products have been created to provide even more hydration and increased blood circulation to the scalp as well as prevention of hair loss and breakage.

The new My Miracle Face Care collection is all about providing an affordable skin care line tailored to the specific facial woes that many women of color complain about.

As a woman of color, I want to know all about what is being offered.

I definitely will be trying out some of the products from the line that was gifted us. I’ll be sure to let you guys know what I think!
