I love the rosy effect that Lollipop has on me. The lip gloss can be worn alone or layered over the lip & cheek stain for more pigment and dimension. Candy Cloud 9 is not only wearable for everyday, but it also smells good enough to eat. Fab yummy-ness for spring!

Event: Illamasqua Make Up Master Class

Illmasaqua MasterClass
Having the chance to attend a master class with Illamasqua’s creative director and make-up extraordinaire Alex Box at the Soho Grand Hotel was a great opportunity. I knew very little about the brand prior to the class, but the experience instantly made me a believer in the company’s motto: “Make-up for your alter ego”.

Box also showed us that, “No matter what the color is, if executed correctly, [any color] can look like it belongs.”
Illmasaqua MasterClass

How?

By using one of their most popular products Liquid Metal, she created a complete blue smoky eye and blue hued eyebrow. It was quite Fab.
Illmasaqua MasterClass
Now whether or not I can wear this to work without getting strange stares from my co-workers is another story. But for a more everyday wearable look, my suggestion would be to skip the extremely strong brow and go with a well-groomed natural brow. And perhaps a little less color and pigment for the smoky eye, keeping the pop of blue around the eye.

Coming up this spring 2011, Illamasqua will introduce their Colour Collision Collection. A collection filled with bold, intense colors that come together to be fresh, electrifying and bold, creating a great modern contrast with cool and warm tones.

The Warm Story: Soft peaches and pinks to neon orange.

Fight Winter Blues with Vibrant Color...

TheFabChick
Models:Shanice & Folasade|Photography:Mougabe-Just for me!

Need a way to ward off some of winter's drabness? Why not try wearing a pair of vibrant colored opaque tights?

Be adventurous, pick a color and pair it with contrasting shades. The contrast often times can be very pleasing and stimulating to the eye. It's also a way to break out of the sometimes boring neutrals and basics that we can find ourselves slaves too during the winter.

Here's my crack at it.

I got REMIXED

Songs aren't the only things being remixed these days. Shoes seem to be getting in on a piece of the remix action.

Remixed by Dane Simms is a shoe design company created by two fab chicks and all around cool women, Dana and Nikk. They take shoes, blank canvases of course and remix the hell out of them. Although I'm not quite sure how they come up with ideas for their designs, I thought much of their work was fun and exciting. Two components in life I truly enjoy.

One thing's for sure, they're all one of a kind designs.

They sent me this pair and I had a little remix fun of my own.

I don't normally give credits of my outfits for a personal reason, but here goes:
Jacket:Nanette Lepore|Tunic:RACHEL Rachel Roy|Tights:Hue|Shorts:H&M|Shoes:Remixed by Dane Simms|Snood:MICHAEL Michael Kors|Ring:Don't Remember Oops!|Earrings:NYC Street Vendor

What do you think of these Remixed by Dane Simms shoes I'm wearing?

Obsessed: The Touch...The Feel of Leather
The Fabric of my Life

leather skirts
Diane von Furstenberg $438, Topshop $170, Barbara Bui, $927
Topshop $250, Mirabella $425, Diane von Furstenberg $431
Vince $495, RACHEL Rachel Roy $99

With nine leather skirts of various colors and silhouettes in my closet, would you say I'm obsessed? Maybe a little right? I might have to agree.

I just love the rough and tough edge appeal you get from leather combined with the flirty and feminine feel you get when wearing a skirt. In my opinion, this one garment is a cool marriage of grit and glam.
