Fab Chick Trend Alert:
Get In His jeans

One of the hottest denim trends since last season has been the boyfriend jean. Fab chicks were raiding their guy's closets and wearing their denims. They were belted, slung low and rolled up at the leg to create a wearable fit. But retailers have since created a denim cut that's made to look like they were taken right from your guy's closet without the overly excessive bagginess that wearing a man's pant could create. Imagine your guy's waist a 38" and you're a size 0. No good! That would take the look way into sloppy territory, thus creating a look that's Not Fab! Guys wouldn't even need to ask if there's any more room in those jeans.
Here are a few brands from different price points that we like:
(l to r): Levi's $69.95, WGACA Vintage $176, Current/Elliot $244
There are some factors to consider when wearing this trend. The key to pulling off the boyfriend jean is to keep the rest of the look feminine in some way. Whether it's the cut of the jacket you wear, i.e a shrunken blazer, or adding feminie frilly tops and accessories the important thing is to balance the volume of the loose
fitting jeans with a more body conscious or streamlined top.
(l to r: Steve Madden $129, 7 for all Mankind $365, Loefler Randall $595
Here are a few Fab Chicks caught in their boyfriend jeans.
