I've been asked...

I've been asked everytime I wear this shocking fushia lip, "What lip color is that?" " What brand of lipstick are you wearing?" "Is that a gloss?"

misha's fav pink lip
Now for the the answer. Drum roll please. It's just MAC's Magenta Lip Pencil under MAC's Gimme That from their Dare to Wear collection.

Fab Carrying: Just a little Backpacking

TheFabChick wears a backpack
Although I would not consider myself a backpacker by any means, I do love a fab knapsack.

When a clutch is just too small, a tote too big and heavy to be carrying around for leisure, and a cross body just won't cut it, I often toss everything I need for the day in a backpack. I love my Kenneth Cole leather and nylon backpack. It's gives me the right amount of playful sophistication I need for a casual day out.

Who says you have to be a school girl in pigtails to rock a stylish backpack? Fab Chicks of all ages can still maintain their fabness with this handbag alternative. I do!

Currently I'm shopping for other options. Here are a few I'm eyeing.
Fab Backpacks
1. YesStyle , $90
2. Rugby, $128
3. Fossil, $168
4. Adidas by Stella McCartney, $130
5. YesStyle, $118
6. Badgley Mischka, $295
7. Madewell, $175
8. FreePeople, $248
9. Rebecca Minkoff, $575

Fab Randomness: Casually Sequined

Some days a girl’s hectic life just calls for her to throw on something gold and shiny just for fun at the playground. So when there's no special hot date to keep your company, or an extravagant event to attend, why not still casually sparkle?  Hey, it’s the Fab Chick way.

Rachel Roy Fall 2011
My dear friend took one look at Rachel Roy's Fall 2011 collection and said, "I know Misha will like this collection." Guess what? She was right.

When it comes to my fall wardrobe, give me multiple layers, chunky knits, rich colors, a great outerwear piece and I'm sold! Rachel Roy managed to deliver just that for Fall 2011.

Spring Wishes: Leather Jackets
Winter go away already!

Combine the treacherous winter we’ve been experiencing with approximately five weeks left until the official mark of spring, March 20th to be exact, my body is really starting to reject heavy winter coats. My body is saying, “No more wool, no more fur, no more insulated anything! Can we get something sleek and lightweight on this body, perhaps a cute leather jacket?"

Yes!

Leather jackets are not only my early fall wardrobe must-have as I expressed back in September, but they are also an early spring must-have as well. I always feel great in a fitted leather jacket. It screams I’m tough and cute, a prerequisite to being a Fab Chick. Don't you agree?

Here are a few styles my body is craving to wear now:

Spring Leather Jacket options
1. Max Azria $500, 2. All Saints $250, 3. All Saints $520
4. Topshop $300, 5. Oasis $225, 6. Topshop $310
7. Miss Selfridge $190, 8. Topshop $270, 9. Miss Selfridge $190

I personally don't mind splurging to buy a great leather jacket. You can and will have it for years to come, providing you maintain it well. One suggestion I would give is to never store your leather garments in plastic. It is always best to keep them in a breathable garment bag.

Event: Dream Cartel PR & Cocktails and Couture Networking Mixer

I usually love checking out the new collections all the designers unveil during New York Fashion Week every season. It’s exciting to see all the forthcoming trends. But, I have to say that the hustle and bustle of the hectic scheduling can become very overwhelming.

So what better way to unwind from it all then to attend mixers which allow you to relax, enjoy refreshing cocktails and network with cool and interesting people of like interests.

"Thou shall take time out from New York Fashion Week to relax, relate, release, and drink." -Misha
Blake Scotland’s Ferality Boutique on the LES hosted Dream Cartel PR’s networking mixer.

Of course they would be offering 20% on everything in the store. Meaning, I couldn’t leave without purchasing something! I left the mixer with a cute stripe mini by Torn by Ronny Kobo along with a few new associates. I couldn’t resist the skirt.

Cocktails and Couture was hosted by founder Lianne Farbes and was held at the Aveda Lifestyle Salon in Soho. Much fun was had. How could you not have a good time being surrounded by your peers, yummy treats and refreshing drinks? I have to say, the specialty Hypnotiq cocktails were on point.

Fab Chick Annika's 1969 Spring Wishes

Gap 1969 Soho Store
Friend and fellow Fab Chick Annika Harris was invited to the Grand Opening Breakfast event to preview the brand new Gap 1969 Soho Store. Here's what she had to say:
"The 1969 store is everything you love about The Gap, familiarity, easy navigation and fun basics. It features designs exclusive to Japan and select U.S. stores at a moderate price point. There's a great denim selection in special washes and colors. And it also helps that there's a knowledgeable and friendly staff willing to help with finding sizes."
Check out Annika's spring wishes from the 1969 spring collection.

Event: Sephora Introduced me to My Boyfriend...& I Loved Him

Kate Walsh Boyfriend Fragrance
On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of being introduced to actress Kate Walsh’s “Boyfriend” at the Soho Sephora location. And boy does her “Boyfriend” smell good to me! I was so glad I was able to take in his scent and a piece of him home with me.

Okay, you got me. I’m not actually referring to her mate. Kate Walsh’s new fragrance is titled “Boyfriend’ and is in stores now.

I absolutely LOVE the concept of the fragrance. The overall inspiration of the scent is definitely something I can relate to.
Kate Walsh Boyfriend Fragrance
"I was like, oh F it! I don't have to have a boyfriend to have that boyfriend fragrance. I was like, ding-ding, boyfriend! What a great idea for a fragrance!" –Kate Walsh
How many times have you met that guy and hugged him just for his scent to rub off on you. Or how about the times when your beau gave you a shirt to borrow still drenched in his fragrance? Tell me you didn’t love every minute of it. I have. And this is exactly what “Boyfriend” is all about.
Kate Walsh Boyfriend Fragrance
I would describe “Boyfriend” as a ball of sweet vanilla masculinity, a bit of an androgynous flavor and scent, if you will. The bottle and packaging coincides perfectly with the mannish-ness of the scent as well. Check out all the guys names on the boxes, how cute.
Kate Walsh Boyfriend Fragrance
Terry Richardson, the photographer responsible for shooting the ad campaign embodied the simplicity of the fragrance and its back-story perfectly. It’s very reminiscent of Marc Jacobs’ ads. Love it.
Kate Walsh Boyfriend Fragrance
Now we all can just go out and buy a “Boyfriend” and not feel guilty or dirty about it. Next time you're in a Sephora store, which I know most of you is like every other day. sample the fragrance and let me know what you think.

Interview: What has she been up to?
Misha chats with R&B singer Olivia

Despite the inclement weather in New York City last night, I met up with the former first lady of G-Unit, Olivia at the swanky Tribeca Grand Hotel. We sat, chatted and bonded over a few things we share in common. We’re both Aquarians, of Jamaican heritage, love Anita Baker and have fathers that know how to throw down in the kitchen.

The R&B singer dishes on her new album, reality show - and the one beauty item she cannot live with out. Check out what fab chick Olivia had to say about it all.
