Hudson Jean’s Spring 2011 preview this week has confirmed my love for ‘brightly hued’ denim and 70’s style flares.
Many of the spring styles have a lightweight feel and possess an already broken-in quality we all have come to love about our jeans. I loved this light washed wide-leg jean. Perfect for spring.
When asked about the inspiration behind the spring line, Hudson’s Creative Director Ben Taverniti explained that he wanted to embody an “exclusive vacation” feel where the collection could be worn everywhere in the world by any type of girl. I would have to say Taverniti achieved just that. The collection has an easy, pack and go attribute.
The joint effort between Taverniti and the brand's face, Georgia May Jagger for ‘Hudson by Georgia May’ gives the popular skinny jean a few edgy twists. With side seam zippers and laces up the entire length of the leg, the line definitely embodies a rock ‘n roll chic aesthetic you would expect from the daughter of a rock n’ roller.
I definitely need to get my hands on a pair of the white skinnies with the laces up the back of the leg. Sexy.
