Winter Boots...
What are you wearing on your feet?

The cold weather is definitely in full swing with today marking the official first day of winter. The windchill factors have already hit very low temps and we've seen our first big snow fall. During these times, many find it hard to get dressed for the cold weather while maintaining their chic-ness. It can pose a huge challenge when you need to take the brutal elements into account before leaving out in the morning. How are you keeping your feet Fab while staying warm and dry?

If you're not privilege to be chauffeured around avoiding snow filled sidewalks and large puddles when crossing the streets, then 9 times out of 10 you're going to have to loose the heels and put on suitable footwear. For trekking through the snow and walking in icy puddles you must be prepared. Yes, we know. It can be hard to look your best while wearing big furry or clunky rubber boots. But we can all agree that wet, cold feet are not fab.

When it comes to winter footwear, you don't have to sacrifice your fab-ness or loose the cute factor for comfort and warmth. There are many options for you Fab Chicks out there that will allow you to maintain your stylish demeanor while weathering the storms against the brutal elements without the usual Ugg options. And we all know what Ugg option we are referring to.
Galoshes are for in-climate weather. They offer great protection while walking through muddy waters and tainted snow. Wet feet will definitely not be an issue. With so many designers offering fab choices, you won't have to feeling like Gordon the fisherman or childish.

Here are a few fab options:

1. BCBG $124.95, 2. Chooka $70, 3. Micheal Kors $125, 4. Marc Jacobs $195, 5. See By Chloe
6. Burberry $325, 7. Chooka $43.97, 8. Jeffrey Campbell $98.00

Our stand out pair, the Jeffrey Campbell Over The Knee Wader. What a great way to incorporate one of this season's hottest footwear trend, the over the knee boot, in a weather friendly shoe.

A Fab Chick favorite would have to be from the British crazed Hunters.
Hunters have become the go to boot for this time of the year. They come in a variety of solid colors without giving you that childish feel that an all over print can sometimes create. And for those extra cold days trekking in the snow, they offer insulated fleece socks. So no matter the weather, Hunter's can accommodate you. There's something about those Hunters we just love. Perhaps it's that 'I walk the streets of London' look.
And let's not forget the Hunter and Jimmy Choo marriage that was released earlier this year. Talk about Fab. This partnership spawned a great creation. The embossed crocodile print was pure genius, creating a lux feel and look. Who knew wellies could be so chic.

For those who do not want to give up $395 for a pair but still want the look, check out these moderate and steal options.

Hunter Jimmy Choo, Pour La Victoire, Rampage

Another great cold weather boot option are Duck Boots. Not to sure what Duck boots are, think Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, Lands End. That all weather shoe that your father might have worn for outdoor activities. Designers have now made them more fashionable by taking away the frumpy-ness by introducing a bit of color and character. They are great for the cold months as they offer great protection to your toes against the elements. Many already come insulated for that extra warmth.

Here are a few Fab options:

Lucky Brand "Daria" $129, 2. Tory Burch $295, 3. Sperry Top Siders $158
4. Marc by Marc Jacobs $230, 5. Ugg Australia $200

And for those of you who don't like either of the two options given and still don't want to wear the typical Ugg, here are a few different winter boot suggestions that will keep those toe-sies warm and still keep you looking FAB!

1. Lauren Ralph Lauren $159, 2. Stella McCartney $495, 3. Juicy $195

So while we have a few more months of the cold rain and snow, let's not let the weather stop us all from being Fab Chicks. Stay warm, and still keep it FAB!
