Color me Crazy
Add a Splash for Fall
Splash some color into your life and add a few brights.
The cold weather rolls around and wardrobes usually get dark, dreary, and slightly boring. Closets tend to get filled with garments of black, brown and burgundy hues, colors synonymous with fall/winter. With so many color options for the cold weather season in clothing these days, there's no reason not to add a little warmth to your fall wardrobe. And we're not talking about adding a sweater.
Fall 09 runways showed that wardrobes don't have to be filled with your usual dark and drab hues. The runways showed us some great usage of color. Some bright colors that were promenent and are a big trend going forward this fall are: crimson, purple, honey yellow, orange/melon, warm olive, teal blue. All these colors come in a variety of shades for you to play up your skin tone and personal preferences. With different shades available you don't have to feel limited or forced to be fashion forward with a shade you don't like. Check out a few shots from the Fall 09 runways.

Many find it difficult to incorporate bright colors into their fall/winter looks. But it doesn't have to be. You don't have to be uber-stylish or a die hard fashionista to accomplish adding bright or a little color into your wardrobe. If you are not confident with an all around monochromatic look in a bright shade, a great way to incorporate color is by picking one or two items from your look and allowing it to be in that bright shade. I.e. shoe, handbag, coat. This way you won't feel your look is too over powering.
So revamp those dreary dark fall wardrobes and add a little color to your life. A bright crimson or a warm olive will go a long way.
